Who we are

Raising a new generation of ethical women leaders

Talitha Koum Women Empowerment is a leadership academy founded on Christian principles in Pretoria in 2017.

We provide a platform where girls and young women from underprivileged and historically disadvantaged communities are coached, mentored, upskilled and empowered, so that they can lift themselves and their communities out of poverty and into positions of leadership and influence.

We believe that many of the obstacles young women face come from a lack of information and support. And we believe it takes a village to raise a child, so we work hand in hand with schools, parents, communities, government and partners.

Our vision

Empower and equip a new generation of great, ethical women leaders.

Our mission

To provide a platform and support to future female leaders by coaching, mentoring, upskilling and empowering them for the future.

Our goal

To create access to social and economic opportunities that empower girls and young women from historically disadvantaged communities.

Why it matters

The challenges young women face are real

Teenage pregnancy, HIV, substance abuse, sexual violence, depression and a lack of career guidance push too many girls out of school and out of opportunity.
